Definition
If you set this indicator, the request update terminates if there are no values for a data record.
You should therefore load the appropriate master data before loading the transaction data.
Use
Dependencies
Transformation:
If you selected rule type Read Master Data in the corresponding transformation, this indicator has the following effect:
- If you set this indicator, a record for which there are no values is skipped.
- If you did not set this indicator, the system writes initial values. The system is not terminated.
If the attributes with the missing values are in the key field of the InfoProvider, they cannot be loaded afterwards. In this case you must delete the request and load it again.
DataStore Objects
If you selected the indicator SIDs Generation upon Activation in the DataStore object maintenance, this indicator has the following effect:
- If you set this indicator, activation terminates with an appropriate message if master data is missing.
- If you did not set this indicator, any missing SID values are created during activation.
If the indicator SIDs Generation upon Activation is not selected in the DataStore object maintenance, the indicator No Update without Master Data is meaningless in the DTP.
