Definition
Currency fields, quantity fields, or number fields in the Business Information Warehouse, such as, sales revenue, profit, or number of employees. Key figures are used in InfoCubes and written into fact tables as data fields.
When you use a global InfoObject catalog, in which all the defined InfoObjects (characteristics and key figures in particular) are stored along with their properties and across all the data structures, each InfoObject name can be used only once.
