Definition
Simulation Mode for the Master Data Deletion.
Use
The simulation mode can be used to analyze the usages of the Master Data values (where-used check) to be deleted without physically deleting the un-unsed data.
Further, in simulation mode, the Master Data deletion does not check for locks (SAP ENQUEUE) in the related Infoproviders, thereby giving the user the possibility to run the where-used check on Master Data, without needing to block all processes on the related InfoProviders. This however, implies that, the results of the where-used check in simulation mode may not be precise. It can only be used to obtain a rough idea of the data dependencies in the system.
