Using this indicator you determine that the entire hierarchy is time-dependent.
Example
You can make the hierarchy time-dependent for the characteristic 'chief district' within the framework of your enterprise so as to compare with each other the restructuring at different times in a query.

The respective valid hierarchy is uniquely identified by the technical name and the 'from - to date'. The created time-dependent hierarchies are displayed in the InfoObject tree underneath the respective InfoObject together with the respective 'to date'.
