Documentation
Definition
The authorization field name is used in the authorization objects generated for reporting.
Normally, the authorization field name is formed from the InfoObject name.
- SAP objects: InfoObject 0COSTCENTER has the authorization field name COSTCENTER.
- Customer objects: InfoObject ABC has the authorization field name 9ABC.
- Objects in customer or partner namepace: InfoObject /DEF/GHIJ has the authorization field name /B01/GHIJ. (/B01/ is the generation namespace of the namespace /DEF/.)
In the latter case, the possible length of the InfoObject is greatly restricted (to 4 or 5 places). Therefore is is possible to specify the authorization field explicitly for objects in the customer or patner namespaces. Make sure that the authorization field is unique. You can not specify a name that is already being used for SAP or customer objects. We recommend that you use a name in the generation namespace.
