Target Group Selection BW

Scenarios for target group selection:

  1. Target group selection for business partners (BI Content object 0BPARTNER):
    • Transaction code RSTG_BUPA
    • The business partner is modeled as a master data characteristic and can be selected directly
  2. Target group selection for ERP customers (BI Content object 0CUSTOMER):
    • Transaction code RSTG_CUST
    • The business partner is modeled as an attribute of the customer. The business partner can be referenced indirectly using the attribute.
  3. Target group selection for external IDs (BI Content object 0DBDUNS_NUM, for example):
    • Transaction code RSTG_DB
    • The business partner should be selected using an external ID. This transaction is based on the Dun& Bradstreet scenario in BW. This is described in a separate document.

Target system of the target group selection:

Target group selection is available for SAP CRM systems Release 2.0C and above. A SAP CRM system for the "TGSELECT" scenario must be registered with transaction RSCRMSCEN before you can make a target group selection. If more than one system is registered, the number of systems in this group of systems determines the maximum number of systems that are allowed in the target group selection process. If no CRM system is registered, the selected business partners are stored in a file on the BW application server.

For the Dun & Bradstreet scenario, only one CRM system can be registered (scenario "D&B"). If you want to run the scenario without a CRM system, leave the system name blank.
