Definition

There are two different types of file name on the application server:

1. Type File Name

   The user cannot change the file name. Data is written to a file with a fixed name in the HOME directory (DIR_HOME in transcation AL11).

2. Type Logical File Name

   The user can change this file name and it corresponds to file names that have been defined in Customizing in activity Maintain Client-Independent File Names and File Paths.
