Definition

The RFM segments for business partners are stored time-dependently. The key date of the segmentation dictates on which date the RFM segmentation is performed. Typically, you take the segmentation execution date as the segmentation key date because segmentation is usually performed using the most up-to-date data available.

Alternatively, you can perform RFM segmentation for a date in the past. This is useful if you want to retrospectively determine the RFM segmentation that was valid at the time when a past campaign was launched, use this segmentation as the basis for determining the RFM response rates for that campaign, and then store the result as a response rate model.
