Definition
Name of a printer in the SAP system, specified in the device definition. The users in the SAP system use this name (or the long name) to select a printer.
Maintaining the name: Enter a name of your choice to identify a printer in the SAP system. If you have a lot of printers, you should use a naming convention for naming them. This makes it easier for you to select a printer using the selection template in the spool management.
Processing a print order: Enter the SAP name of the printer to use for your print request. Use Possible Entries to display a list of the available printers and other devices. You can set a standard name as the default under System -> User Settings -> Own Data.
Select spool requests: Enter the SAP name of a printer to display the spool requests which should be performed by this device. You can use the Possible Entries to choose from the available devices.
