Definition

This label identifies a functional location from the user's point of view.

If necessary, you can change the labeling of a functional location. The system then automatically constructs a labeling history and prevents uncontrolled reuse of outdated labels. The labeling history also allows you to interpret old location labels in documents outside the SAP system that cannot be changed.

You can specify a primary and several alternative labels for a functional location.
