Definition
The name of a report variant.
Supplementary Documentation - RP_VARNA 0001
Use
The evaluation report you wish to run is started in parallel using the variant that you have specified.
Procedure
You can either enter the name of the variant directly or use the 'Possible entries' pushbutton (F4), which will only display the variants of the evaluation report you wish to start.
Dependencies
A suitable variant must be defined for the target report because parallel execution is only possible using a variant.
Supplementary Documentation - RP_VARNA 0002
Use
The payroll program is started in parallel using the variant that you have specified.
Procedure
You can either enter the name of the variant directly or use the 'Possible entries' pushbutton (F4).
Dependencies
The payroll program is determined by an entry in table T596F. Please refer to the report documentation for more detailed information.
The 'Possible entries' pushbutton (F4) enables you to display the variants of the program determined by table T596F.
A suitable variant must be defined for the target program because parallel execution is only possible using a variant.
Supplementary Documentation - RP_VARNA 0003
Use
The reference is used as a model for the variant to be created.
Procedure
Specify the payroll program variant to be used as a model for the payroll jobs that must be scheduled. All selections and settings are taken from this variant, except for the values from the group boxes 'Payroll Period' and 'Selection'. The values for the payroll areas are taken from the above selection. The fields for selecting personnel numbers are initialized because selections are only effected using the payroll areas.
Using the model variant specified at this point, a new variant is created with the generic name 'PR: X1-X2 YY', where X1 and X2 are the selected payroll areas and YY represents the given year (2 characters). The new variant is used for the payroll job, not the model variant specified here.
