Use
Key date concerning the examination of reporting findings.
This field contains the current date.
It is updated:
- when starting an ABAP/4 report,
- during screen change in an ABAP/4 dialog,
- explicitly by the key word ==> GET TIME.
It is determined by this parameter at which time or in which period the personnel file is searched for report findings. Together with the parameter 'Monthly evaluation', it can be decided whether the examination is to be carried out concerning one day or a monthly period (see parameter documentation there).

Use
Key date for checking age of contract.
The key date is used for choice of the contracts which are not yet ended at the key date.
Furthermore, the key date is used to calculate the age of contract for the contract categories instalment savings and life insurance. By means of age of contract, it is checked whether the retention period of 7 or 12 years has expired.
