Documentation
Definition
Selection rule for numeric fields and date fields.
If several senders are found during derivation, the system transfers the attribute with the highest value.
Note
You can also choose the maximum option for alphanumeric attributes. However, you must remember that:
- Different platforms may have different results (EBCDIC/ASCII potability: For example, in EBCDIC coding 'A' is < '1', but in ASCII coding '1' is < 'A').
- Numeric contents are compared in the same way as text. For example, '10' is < '2'. (But: '002' is < '010')
