The rounding unit for base amounts of charges/ discounts is only relevant if charges/discounts are calculated on a percentage basis.
Example
The base amount is to be rounded initially to multiples of 100 (in the respective currency). Then, charge/discounts are to be calculated with a percentage rate of 3 percent. In this case, the rounding unit for base amounts for charges/discounts is 100.00.
