Definition
When you define rules, you can use object relationships to refer to the status from status management of lower or higher-level objects of the same object category.
In trial management, relationships between objects of the same object category exist only for trials, which means that object relationships are permitted only for the TRI (trial) object category.

Example
In trial management, trials can be assigned to a trial group. Trials and trial groups have the same object category (TRI).
When you create rules for tasks from the trial group, you can use the Lower-Level Objects relationship to refer directly to the status of the lower-level trials.
If you do not specify an object relationship, the rule refers to the object itself, that is, the trial group.
