Documentation
Definition
Unique, identifying name of a characteristic.
Supplementary Documentation - RMSAE_PP_ATNAM0001
Use
The following naming conventions are used for characteristics:
- Only letters from A - Z, numbers from 0 9, and underscores can be used.
You can also use hyphens in the characteristic name. If you do so, however, you have to use the supplement SKEY in object dependencies to refer to the characteristic. You specify the characteristic name in quotation marks.
Example: SKEY 'EXT-COLOR' - The characteristic name must not consist of numbers only.
- The first character must be a letter.
- You cannot use umlauts.

Use
This characteristic is used as a template for copying an existing characteristic.
Next, you decide which sections of the template are to be copied to the new characteristic.

Use
Procedure
Enter all of the characteristics here that are to belong to the same class.

Use
Procedure
Enter the start of a characteristic name followed by a "*" to search for all the characteristics that begin with this character string.
If you want to search for all existing characteristics, just enter "*".

Use
Procedure
Enter the characteristic name here that is to be generated for the standard characteristic. If this characteristic already exists and has the correct format, it will be used for the standard class.

Important:
Not all the properties of the characteristics are used for measuring points and measurement documents:
- The number of decimal places and the exponent of ten are copied from the characteristic as a proposal for the measuring point and can be changed.
- The number of characters is not copied from the characteristic. You can use the Additional Data function to restrict the permitted value range.
- If the characteristic does not allow a negative value assignment, the lower measuring range limit of the measuring point is automatically set to zero and cannot be set to a negative value.
- Declaring a characteristic as a mandatory input is not relevant for the measuring point because a measurement value usually always has to be entered in the measurement document (unless the ValCode sufficient indicator has been set).
Supplementary Documentation - RMSAE_PP_ATNAM0020
Use
This characteristic characterizes the measuring point.
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
The characteristic must be a numeric characteristic and assigned a unit.
