Documentation
Definition
Unit of measure in which the material is issued from the warehouse. You define this unit of measure in the material master record.
Purpose
You use this unit of measure to display the missing parts situation and the staging quantity is rounded up on the basis of this unit of measure.
Note: As soon as an element in the pull list has been staged (shown by the green checkmark), you can no longer switch to the alternative unit of measure.
Example
For example, you can enter the unit of measure "crate" and define that every crate contains two pieces of your material. Then, if the requirement is seven pieces and if you have selected the rounding up function for the replenishment proposals, the system automatically rounds the number of crates up to 4 crates instead of 3.5 crates.
