Definition
Several requirements totals are covered by the available quantity displayed.
Technical information
In the error quantity calculation in the pull list, requirements are grouped into requirements totals. For each requirements total, the system displays the requirements quantity, available quantity and the Missing quantity calculated.
Typically, you can examine the error quantity calculation separately for each requirements total. The available quantity displayed for one total is then exclusively available to cover the requirements of this total only.
The following calculation is used:
Missing quantity = max (0, requirements quantity - available quantity)
However, overlapping may occur:
Example
Material M is managed in batches.
The following reservations are included in the missing quantity calculation:
- 5 pc, material M, batch not yet defined
- 5 pc, material M, batch C1
- 5 pc, material M, batch not yet defined
- 5 pc, material M, batch
Available stock at the storage location:
- 12 pc, batch C1
- 12 pc, batch C1
- 5 pc, batch C2
Reservations 1 and 3 are grouped into one requirements total. Reservations 2 and 4 are also grouped into a requirements total.
The system assumes that the total of all batch stocks is available for the first requirements total - here 17 pc - as the batch has not yet been defined. The second reservation, on the other hand can only be withdrawn from the batch stock C1. Therefore, it displays 12 pc as the available quantity for this total.
If you examine the requirements totals separately, no missing quantities appear to exist. However, if you examine them together, a missing quantity does exist.
Requirements totals affected by this missing quantity are indicated as such so that you can recognize this situation.
