Documentation
Definition
Authorization check for document declarations.
Use
If you select this flag, the system checks whether the user is authorized to assign the follow-on status to the element type in question, when declaring a document.
Dependencies
This flag is only relevant for documents that are subject to status administration.
Example
You are using a three-level status schema: PRI (private) -> EDT (public, modifiable) -> PUB (public, not modifiable). You only want privileged users to declare documents for the status PUB.
In your Customizing settings, select the flag for the authorization check when declaring documents; in authorization maintenance, only allow users with the privileged role to set the status PUB.
