Definition

The lock status shows whether an open item is currently unlocked, being edited or locked.

Use

1. Locking Applications

Waivers/Write-offs, Payment Postprocessing, Payoff

  • green:
  • The open item is not locked by any other application or business operation. You can select it and continue processing it, provided another user has not locked the items in the meantime. If this is the case, the system displays a message accordingly. (Document abc is currently locked by user xyz)
  • yellow:
    • Waivers/write-offs:
    • You are currently processing the open item, meaning you have selected it and can continue processing it. Other applications cannot access this item until the lock has been deleted (the item has either been edited or the editing that has so far taken place has been reversed).
    • Payoff
    • The open item cannot be selected, it is displayed for information purposes only (it has a different number from the current loan, for example).
  • red:

This item is locked by another application, another business operation or by an existing payment lock on the item. You can select the item, but the system will prevent you from processing it further.

2. Non-Locking Applications

Borrower Change

The lock status is displayed per open item for information purposes only. The Borrower Change function does not set blocks. These are set in other applications and do not affect the execution or reset of a borrower change.

Note: Press the information icon on the toolbar for details on the type of lock.
