Definition

A residence time is the amount of days for which application data is retained in the system. The key date used to select the data to be archived is calculated by subtracting the residence time from the current date (local date depending on user).

Delimitation to residence time 2

Residence time 1 should be considerably lower than Residence time 2. This enables you to archive completed matching transactions at an earlier point in time. Choose a period that corresponds to the amount of time you usually need to process and match account postings and account statements.
