Definition
Specifies the subsequent account posting type.
Use
As opposed to the offsetting account posting type , which is used to create mirror-image postings of the original postings, subsequent posting types can be used to map more complex business management scenarios, such as three-way circulation.
Procedure
Account posting type and subsequent account posting type should always be assigned symmetrically: if account posting type Y was assigned a subsequent account posting type X, then Y should also be assigned to X as subsequent account posting type.

Dependencies
The subsequent account posting type was called the offsetting account posting type in Automotive Release 1.0. In Automotive Release 2.0, the term offsetting account posting type refers to a completely new function (see above).
