Definition
Specifies the type of returnable packaging movement.
The account posting type is used to update goods movement of returnable packing to the RP accounts.
With manual posting types, you can only post to RP accounts.
With automatic posting types, both MM postings and RP account postings are executed.
If you set automatic posting, RP account postings take place on the basis of MM postings. For example, if goods receipt is posted for a handling unit, the system simultaneously posts the movement of returnable packaging to the RP account.

You assign account posting types to MM movement types in Customizing for Returnable Packaging Logistics, under Assign posting types to movement types. This enables automatic RP account posting when an item of returnable packaging is posted in MM Inventory Management.
