Definition

You use conversion profiles to set how your SAP posting types are given as transaction types in the statement that you send to your partner.

Dependencies

Procedure

  • If you assign a conversion profile to a message partner, then when the system sends a statement to this partner, it automatically converts the SAP posting types to the transaction types specified in the profile.
    • Insure that the conversion profile you assign covers all posting types that are possible for this account. If a posting type occurs, for which theere is no conversion record in the assigned profile, errors occur.
  • If no conversion profile is assigned to the message partner, then the SAP posting types remain unchanged in the statement sent to the partner.

Examples

Dependencies

You create the profiles in the IMG activity Maintain Conversion Profile.

You assign profile to message partner in Returnable Packaging Logistics, under Logistics -> Returnable packaging logistics -> Master data -> External partner names -> Create/Change.
