Documentation
Definition
Specifies whether the account posting can be made manually, automatically, or whether both methods are permitted.
Use
Procedure
Examples
Manual posting is required if
- the RP goods movement has not previously been posted in MM. This happens if, for example, a third party carries out the goods movement. Since this does not affect in-house warehouse stock, no MM posting takes place. However, RP account posting is still required.
- an MM posting has been made, but without reference to partner. This happens with scrapping, for example.
Dependencies
With automatic posting, the system carries out RP account posting directly after MM posting, according to the account posting type you defined under Assign posting types to movement types.
For automatic account posting, RP account processing must have been set as mandatory for the material's material type. You make this setting under Define attributes of material types. Select Change/Create, enter the material type and then select Quantity/value in the next screen.
