Documentation
Definition
Describes the function that the corresponding partner has in the returnable packaging posting. The roles sender, recipient and settlement partner are currently available.
Example
You want to post cross-circulation between A und B. Your own plant 1 represents the settlement partner, that is, A is credited as regards plant 1, and B is debited.
Technically, this results in a posting item with location 1 and exchange partner A and an additional subsequent posting item with location 1 and exchange partner B. The first posting has a positive +/- sign, the second a negative.
If the appropriate partner roles have been assigned in Customizing to the account posting type and the corresponding subsequent account posting type, the partners can be entered in the system as "sender" A and "recipient" B and "settlement partner" 1. From these entries, the system automatically generates the required items, by calculating the partner relationship from the role assignment in Customizing.
Dependencies
Partner roles as they are used here in Returnable Packaging Logistics should not be confused with the partner roles that are used in different contexts elsewhere in Logistics.
