Definition

You use this parameter to specify how much of the main memory may be taken up by building summarization levels on the application server. The entry made here is the net memory requirement. The gross memory requirement is two to three times greater.

Subpackages are created for summarization levels that no longer fit whole in the main memory. The greater the amount of main memory that can be used, the less the amount of subpackages that have to be created.

Set this parameter to no more than a third of the physical main memory, and to a maximum of 200,000,000 bytes (200 MB). If other jobs are to be run in parallel, set the parameter to a correspondingly smaller value.
