Definition
A planning package describes the market segment that you wish to plan for. You define a planning package by selecting the characteristic values for the characteristics of the respective planning level.
You can, on the one hand, define a planning package as permanent so that it is always available whenever you call up planning. On the other hand, you can choose to have a planning package defined as an ad hoc planning package at the point when planning is executed.
