Definition

Indicator that controls the deletion (flagging for reorganization) of change pointers.

Use

The system uses change pointers to log all condition record changes made in the system which necessitate adjustments to documents (purchasing documents, retail pricing documents, etc.).

This indicator enables you to specify whether or not the processed condition record changes are to be flagged as "completed" following the successful generation of the document adjustment worklist, and thus earmarked for subsequent reorganization (deletion). This ensures that each change is processed once only.

As a rule, all document categories for which automatic document adjustment has been defined in your enterprise (automatic processing of all relevant documents) should always be processed if this indicator is set.

In some cases, it may be necessary to process individual document categories in advance. In order for you to be able to process the as yet unprocessed document categories in a subsequent workstep, the indicator must not be set. You would otherwise delete change pointers that are still relevant to other document categories.
