Definition

A work time event type is a grouping of time events according to specific aspects of time recording.

It determines the type of work time event.

Use

You can group different work time event types together to define work time event type groups. The Time Recording Info. infotype enables you to assign the employee to a work time event type group.

Use

Record types are short texts specifying whether the time event
is a clock-in or clock-out entry.
The external record type is transferred by the time recording system and
has to be converted to a SAP record type on upload.
