Definition
Sales-based settlement can be started using different settlement methods. Depending on the method you choose, the sales-based settlement is either simulated or settlement is actually performed.
Use
You can choose one of the following settlement methods:
- Simulate
No data is saved when you use this method. No postings are generated in Financial Accounting. No settlement ID is created. The calculated values are only for the purposes of the simulation.
- Execute
When you use this method, the system settles all selected contracts. These contracts are assigned a status, depending on whether all sales are available or if postings could not be made. In this mode you can post receivables, for example. The system creates a settlement ID.
