Use
In the settlement frequency, you define:
- The intervals in which the settlement of sales rent and the final settlement should occur
- Whether the settlement should be separate per interval or cumulative for all periods of the settlement period
Settlement Period
- Settlement
This is the standard settlement for sales-based rent. You are required to enter a period for this type of settlement. - Cumulative Settlement
During cumulative settlement, the system calculates sales-based rent cumulatively, meaning that the time period for the calculation is longer than for standard settlement and all values during this longer time period are considered. For example, you could enter a longer settlement period to avoid seasonal peaks. - Final Settlement
For final settlement, you can also enter a final settlement period. You can perform final settlement, for instance, to make adjustments to a standard settlement that are necessary due to certified sales reports.
For an example of a sales rule with final settlement, see the SAP Library for the Flexible Real Estate Management component. Choose Sales-Based Settlement.
Frequency
The frequency determines the individual settlement periods.
Start of the Settlement Period
The standard value for the start date of the settlement period is the start date of the sales rule or the contract start date. However, if this standard date falls within a settlement period rather than at the beginning, you have to define the start date here.
@0S@ For cumulative settlements and final settlements, the start of frequency must always be the same as the start of the settlement period.
Prorated Calculation
If the start or the end of the sales rule (contract start/end) does not fall entirely within the settlement period, this function can be used to perform a prorated sales rent calculation. The prorated calculation method is also used to define whether the months are assigned their actual number of days or whether they always have 30 days.
