Use

In this table, you specify for each selected sales type which sales are to be reported and with which frequency.

Procedure

Time-Dependency

A reporting rule can begin or end within the contract validity period, or specific parameters can change within the validity. By choosing @1U@ with the quick info text Show Time-Dependency, you can enter the validity period of a reporting rule and change any rule that has already been created.

Example

The calculated sales-based rent should be based on the annual sales of a tenant, but the lease-out does not begin until August. Furthermore, for statistical purposes, the sales should still be entered after the rental end date.

If the frequency of sales to be reported changes, a new time slot needs to be created for the entire reporting rule.

Parameters for the Reporting Rule

Sales reports can be performed either in relation to sales type or to total sales. Sales types and the related units (currency, quantity, and so on) are entered in Customizing.

Select the Statistical indicator if no sales-based rent settlement is actually to be performed.

In the Gross/Net Sales field, you have to specify whether gross sales (for example, for statistical reasons) or net sales (that are actually to be settled) are to be reported. If you choose gross and net sales, one of the the two is always statistical.

Reporting Frequency

In this table, you specify which sales are to be reported and when.

Example

  • Sales are reported monthly.
  • Planned sales are reported every quarter.
  • Certified sales are reported once a year.

If, for instance, no planned sales have to be reported, you leave this field empty.

In the case of contracts with new tenants, a shorter reporting frequency is often arranged to assist monitoring in the early phase, and this frequency is then increased to a longer period at a later stage. For this reason, always specify the start date of the reporting frequency (for example, specify that the frequency should always be calculated on the first or tenth day of the month).

The reporting frequency does not have to be the same as the settlement frequency, but it generally falls within the settlement frequency.

Tolerance

Here you can enter a period (in days, weeks, or months) within which sales must be reported once the regular reporting frequency has elapsed. Furthermore, you can specify the calendar with which the tolerance period is to be determined (specific to the country in question).

Excluded Period

For seasonal businesses (such as ice cream parlors), you can specify here on an annual basis the relevant period (start and end date) in which no sales have to be reported and likewise no sales-based rent settlement performed.

The excluded period is simply used to indicate that no sales are to be reported in this period. However, the period has no effect on minimum sales rent conditions or minimum rules in the sales rule. Any time restrictions for these have to be specified in an additional step in the condition or in the sales rule.
