Definition
Costs that are incurred in a settlement unit can be apportioned differently according to their purpose.
Use
The system supports the following:
- Remaining landlord/tenant apportionment
If a meter is defined on a settlement unit and the total amount is larger than the total of the lower-level meters, the difference is apportioned to the landlord or all tenants based on this measurement type.
- If no measurement can be determined
If there are errors when the system determines the measurement amount of the standard measurement type, then enter an alternative measurement type here. For example, it might be that no meter readings were entered yet for the rental object, but you still want to simulate a service charge settlement. For the simulation, enter an area-based measurement type as an alternative.
You can define the following in the system for informational use only:
- Owner remaining apportionment
If you want the apportionment for a condominium owners association (COA) settlement to be different from the apportionment from landlord to tenant.
