Definition

  • Indicator is set ('X')

    If there is already a participation group with the same name (and you entered its name in the Participation Group field) in the target business entity, then this existing participation group is assigned to the settlement units.

  • Indicator is not set (' ')

    If there is already a participation group with the same name (and you entered its name in the Participation Group field) in the target business entity, then the newly created participation group is assigned to the settlement units.

Dependencies

You specify the contents of the participation group in the Empty Participation Group field.

Example

You want to copy the settlement unit structure of a reference business entity. There is one participation group, named PG1, in the target business entity.

Reference BE    Target BE

You set the Copy PG indicator:

SU1 has PG1 assigned    System assigns PG1 to SU1

SU2 has PG2 assigned    System assigns PG-New to SU2

SU3 has PG3 assigned    System assigns PG-New to SU3

Reference BE    Target BE

You do not set the Copy PG indicator:

SU1 has PG1 assigned    System assigns PG-New to SU1

SU2 has PG2 assigned    System assigns PG-New to SU2

SU3 has PG3 assigned    System assigns PG-New to SU3

As a result, the settlement units 1 through 3 and the participation group, PG-New, are created.

The Empty Participation Group indicator also plays a role. It determines if the newly created participation group (PG-New) should not contain rental objects, or if all rental objects that belong the business entity are automatically assigned to the participation group.
