Definition
When distributing the costs of a settlement unit to the rental objects, the system calculates the exact share, to the day, for each rental object or contract. The system rounds the result as appropriate for the currency. The amounts calculated in this way are then posted as credits to the settlement unit.
Small differences can arise because the total of all the credit postings may not always correspond exactly to the debits posted on the settlement unit.
If you make a setting here, then these differences remain on the settlement unit as "remaining costs." However, in some cases (such as, COA settlement), distributing these remaining costs is necessary. Here you can specify if and how this distribution is made.
