Definition

This indicator controls whether multilevel predistribution is allowed in master data maintenance. This also applies to cost object SUs of the master SU.

Note

This indicator only determines if objects can be assigned in master data maintenance, and has no influence on the functions of service charge settlement. An existing multilevel settlement unit hierarchy can be settled even if this indicator is not set.

  • Indicator is set ('X')
You can assign master SUs to other master SUs to create a hierarchy.

  • Indicator is not set (' ')
You cannot assign master SUs to other master SUs. If you attempt to do so during master data maintenance, an error message is issued. This is regardless of whether you intend the master SU you are assigning to be a subordinate SU or a remainder object.
