Documentation
Definition
Date recorded when the document is entered in financial accounting or cost accounting.
Use
The system uses the posting date to derive the fiscal year and the period that are updated for the accounts or cost elements specified in the document.
During document entry, the system checks if the entered posting date is allowed, based on the allowed posting period.
Note
The posting date can be different to the document entry date and the document date (date the original document was created).
