Definition

Use

You enter an RE search request type when you create an RE search request. The RE search request type specifies the type of objects that the prospect is interested in.

You assign usage types to each RE search request type in Customizing. These are the usage types that are then considered during the search. You are allowed to assign a given usage type to more than one RE search request type.

Dependencies

The RE search request type controls the search as follows:

  • It controls which usage types are searched for
  • Which measurement types can be searched for
  • Which conditions (condition groups) can be searched for
  • Which fixtures and fittings characteristics can be searched for

You define these in the Customizing settings for the RE search request type.

Example

Possible RE search request types could be:

  • Apartment
  • Parking space
  • Garage
  • Office
  • Storage area
  • ...

You could assign the usage type "Garage" to the RE search request type "Garage," and at the same time, assign the usage type "Garage" to the RE search request type "Parking Space" along with additional usage types such as "Double Garage" or "Uncovered Parking Space".
