Definition
Germany: Land register district
Land registers (LR) are managed at the level of local courts (land registry section) for the properties that are within their district jurisdiction. The districts are further divided into land register districts, which usually correspond to the local subdistricts. The number of the land register district is entered on each page of the land register.
The land register district therefore is always part of the key for land register master data, and as such helps identify the land register.
Switzerland: LR commune
If the Swiss land register is active, the key for the land register is identified using the municipality, the land register district, and the land number.
