Definition
The number of the development plan uniquely identifies the development plan in the community.
Development plans are created by cities and communities. In Germany, the development plan is regulated by laws relating to construction and planning. These cover, for example, the type of usage and the allowed height of buildings. The development plan contains legally-binding specifications for construction, and together with the land use map, forms the core of community planning. Development plans are the most important instrument for opening new land for construction - especially for residential, commercial, industrial, community and infrastructural purposes.
