Documentation
Definition
Specifies the message type that the system uses for cost centers without assignment to a real estate object.
Use
The input tax distribution determines the documents that have account assignment to those objects, for which you specified in Customizing that the objects are relevant to input tax distribution. To derive the option rate for these objects, the system checks which real estate object the objects are assigned to.
If the system does not find any assignment to real estate objects, then it is not able to break down the document.
Here you specify what type of message the system outputs when this is the case. The setting you make here should be dependent on how you use the given component in this company code.
- Display Error Message
Choose this setting if objects of this type should normally only appear in the company code in the context of Flexible Real Estate Management. An error message is written to the log. After the input tax distribution, you can assign the object to the correct real estate object and run the input tax distribution again.
In this way, you can prevent input tax from being fully deducted for a posting, when it should have only been partially deducted. - Display Warning Message
Choose this setting, if the following objects exist for the given object type in the given company code: - Objects, for which input tax has to be distributed
- Objects, for which the posted input tax is fully deductible, based on the input tax code used for the posting
After the input tax distribution, you check the log to see the objects for which the distribution was not possible. You can then decide if you now want to make the assignment for these objects. If you do so, you can then start a repeat run of the input tax distribution, which is limited to those objects for which you subsequently made an assignment.
- No Message
Choose this setting, if you only want distribution to take place when the object is assigned to a real estate object at the time of the input tax distribution run. The system ignores any documents, for which distribution was not possible because an assignment was missing. In addition, it is not possible to distribute them later in a subsequent input tax distribution run.
This setting is recommended only in the following cases: - Based on the input tax code used for the posting, input tax is deductible for the majority of the objects of this type.
- You can ensure that the object, for which the option rate should be determined, is assigned to the correct real estate object in every case. This can be done either using validation mechanisms or by manual, organizational measures.
