Definition

Option rate determined by option rate determination.

Depending on the method, this option rate was either determined directly in Customizingor in the object itself, or it was calculated according to the process defined in Customizing.

The option rate determined in this way is the percentage of actual deductible input tax for the object in question. In the input tax distribution, only the percentage rate shown here remains from the input tax that was originally posted as tax-deductible. A transfer posting is made for the remaining amount under "Non-deductible input tax costs".

Example

A vendor invoice for 1100 Euro was posted on business entity 0001/1. This includes 10% input tax. The posting document is as follows:

Costs (business entity)     1000
Input tax     100

    to
        Vend.pybl.     1100

The option rate of this business entity is 40 %. The input tax distribution then posts the following document:

Non-ded.InputTax costs (BE)     60
    to
        Input tax     60

The advance return for sales tax would report 40 EUR as deductible input tax on these two posting transactions, in other words 40% of the originally posted 100 EUR.
