Documentation
Definition
Groups plants, within the same purchasing organization, whose purchasing-process related data is similar.
A reference site is a normal site that can be either used in production or created merely for data maintenance.
Use
Sites that are assigned to a reference site are linked to it; if they have no data of their own, the data defined at the reference site level is used.
When a site that already contains data is assigned to a reference site, its initial purchasing data can be kept, or replaced by that of the reference site.
Dependencies
A reference site is only valid for one purchasing organization.
All sites that are assigned to a reference site must be assigned to the same purchasing organization.
A site can only be named as a reference site if it is not itself assigned to a reference site.
