Definition
The posting documents created by RPCIPO00 are numbered consecutively. A five-character prefix can be set before this number.

Use
The Transfer to FI/CO program automatically creates a character string which is entered in the Reference field of the posting document.
This string consists of a five-character prefix, which is entered in this field, and a five-digit sequential number.
The values for the Reference field of the posting document can also be created by a preliminary processing program. In this case, the system ignores the entries in this field.
Procedure
Examples
If you enter HRPAY in this field, the created documents are assigned the reference HRPAY00001, HRPAY00002, etc.
If you use the USA country version, the Reference field of the posting document is filled with the values transferred by the preliminary third party remittance program when a third-party remittance is posted.
