Documentation
Definition
Date starting on which the agreed conditions are considered during generation of the cash flow.
Use
In the standard system, the system proposes the default date in this field that was defined in the Make Basic Settings in Company Code IMG activity. Or the system proposes the start date of the object's validity (or the contract start date). When you create an object, you can also enter the date of the first posting, which is after the date in this field. When the cash flow is generated for the first time, the system then assigns the status already posted to cash flow items that fall in the period between these two dates.
Dependencies
For real estate contracts:
The contract start date is the default date for the valid-from date of the conditions. However, no cash flow items are generated for the time period between the contract start date and the date of the first posting. Retroactive changes to conditions, therefore, are not possible until after the date of the cash flow generation.
To improve performance, the time period between the date of the cash flow generation and the date of first posting should not be more than two years. However, the cash flow has to exist, at the minimum, for the periods, for which no service charge settlement is yet to be performed.
