Definition
When you assign business partners to real estate objects or real estate contracts in the standard system, the business partner search is called. The idea behind this is to prevent duplicate business partners from being created. Therefore the search is not dependent on the role. An existing partner can be created in another role, if necessary.
In certain cases, it can be useful to restrict the partner search to a role, especially if no new partners should normally be created in the entered role, or if the partner cannot exist in another role (for example, survey office, tax office, or caretaker).
Use
Use this indicator if you want to control the partner search as follows:
- ' ' (standard) - Partner selection is independent of the role, maintaining partners is allowed
Based on your search criteria, the system displays a list of business partners for selection. If the role is not assigned to the partner, you go directly to maintenance for the business partner. If you do not select a partner, it is possible to create a new partner using the search criteria as default values.
- '+' - Selection dependent on role, maintenance not allowed
Based on your search criteria, the system displays a list of business partners for selection that are assigned to the selected role. Creating a new business partner is not possible with this selection variant.
- 'X' - Selection dependent on role, maintenance allowed
In the dialog box where you enter the search criteria, you are offered the option of choosing a role-dependent or role-independent partner search (default "role-dependent")
