Specifies if it is necessary to notify the other contractual partner in the case of a condition adjustment performed using this adjustment rule.

Use

• Indicator is set ('X')

  Adjustments made using this rule require notification of the other contractual partner.
  If your company code is the offerer (for example, real estate contracts of the lease-out type), then you have to notify the tenant of the adjustment by sending a notification letter. It is not possible to activate the adjustment until the notification has been made.

• Indicator is not set (' ')

  In this case, you only need to activate the adjustment. The new condition amount is then posted during the next periodic posting run and paid during the payment run.

Dependencies

In the case of rental objects, the system ignores this indicator.

Example

In Germany, landlords are legally required to notify tenants before adjusting rent based on a modernization of the property. Set this indicator for an adjustment rule for this type of adjustment.
