Definition
You use this search option to find process elements that contain other process elements, for example, operations that contain a particular action. If you select the Indirect Search indicator and enter your search criteria on one of the three tab pages, the system displays as the result of the search, all objects of a process element that are directly above the process element in the hierarchy for the process element for which you entered the search criteria. Furthermore, it also displays all objects of process elements that are even higher up in the hierarchy and therefore not directly linked to the process element.
For example, you enter data in the Action tab page and the result list contains all operation building blocks that contain this action. The system also determines all process and stage building blocks (with dependent operations) in which the action you are searching for is used.
