Use
The system basically attempts to provide the most detailed catalog profile possible for the PM notification. The following hierarchy is valid here:
- A relatively global catalog profile usually applies for the notification type.
- If you enter a functional location for which a catalog profile is defined, this catalog profile replaces that of the PM notification.
- If you enter an equipment for which a catalog profile is defined, this catalog profile replaces that of the functional location.
However, the replacement can only take place if the settings for the catalog profile in Customizing allow it to be replaced.
The less specific catalog profile is then displayed as a default.
The field for the current catalog profile always displays the catalog profile valid at the time of creating or changing or displaying the PM notification.
Procedure
If you do not want the current catalog profile to continue to be valid for the PM notification, you can copy either the catalog profile entered in the field Default catalog profile or an individual catalog profile.
